Dongdaemun is a traditional market in Seoul which is visited by many foreigners and it is also photographed against its backdrop skyscrapers. You can start your visit from its ancient East Main Gate which is considered as a national treasure. Don't forget to check out the Gyeong-dong Herbal Medicine Market. Dongdaemun market is particularly known for the fabrics and fashion with an old market and many new modern shopping malls. Some of these modern malls also put on music and dance entertainment in the evening.

Gyeongbokgung Palace
Gyeongbok Palace
Gyeongbokgung Palace is one of the oldest and grandest palace in South Korea. It is also the oldest palace of the five palaces of the Joseon dynasty and it was first established in 1394. You can visit it any time, all you have to do is to buy a ticket which is valid for a month and you can also visit many other heritage sites on this ticket. Korean National Heritage Museum is also present in this palace.

Insadong is a popular and lively area of Seoul with a lot of art galleries, crafts, antique and clothes shops. There is a 40 km long path on the banks of the Hangang river which is lined with trials. If you want to participate, you can hire a bike from any of the rental shops and experience the adventure of biking. One of these trials leads to the Olympic park where a lot of bikers show their skills.
